I launched Bluebell from Battery Park Marina and Boat Ramp in Apalachicola and followed the channel markers out to marker 1, then into open water toward Government Cut. With the wind from the north-northwest, the trip out was downwind. In the afternoon, the wind backed to the west-southwest, so most of the way back was a beam reach.

This was my third sail on Bluebell, and it was excellent sailing.

Wind, temperature, and sky are from the Apalachicola airport weather station (KAAF). Tide is from NOAA's Apalachicola station.

Track

Arrows show the direction of travel. Point of sail compares the boat's course with the wind measured at KAAF, so short stretches can be off when the wind on the water differs. Shoreline: USGS National Hydrography Dataset.
